ERASE YOUR PRINTS ON THE INTERNET

We are in our last days of class and I have to post something about disappearing from the Internet.
The first thing you have to do is eliminate your acounts in your social networks: Twitter, Tuenti, Facebook... You may have some acounts in other social networks that you don't use so look for them with searchers.
In the acounts that you can't eliminate you should falsificate the data changing the name of user, dates, adresses... You can ask the search motors to eliminate your images and information from the Internet or contact the web managers to eliminate information if you can´t do it yourself. Ask any company to erase your information and eliminate your email acounts.
Be careful with what you upload to the Internet.

I wish it was useful.

VIDEOPAD

In this last term we have used VideoPad, a video edition program.
From the begining to the end, we had some problems with the computer or with the program but it was decent to be a test program: tou can insert your own videos, music, audios...

You can insert subtitles if you can´t hear well the video as we had to do, you can retouch your videos and put the time of the sequence as you want. At the begining it´s a bit complicated to work with it but when you´re working every day with it, it's easy to manage it and it's very funny to work with your parners making videos all the class.

PREZI

Hi again, we have already come back from Easter holydays and we are working quite hard again.
Now the program we had to work with is Prezi, an excelent program for presentating your works.
At the beginning it´s a bit confusing and you can get lost in the infinite options of funds and models. You can put the images from Internet directly from this program, there are many types of styles but you can select the color and order of your presentation. This program is excelent for formal presentations because you see the idea and information inmediately.

This is my Prezi about Social Networks:

GIMP

Now we are working with a new program, GIMP. This program is an image editor, you can choose the image and retocate or do another different image. The first image we had to do was a place where we would like to be and place us on that image. The second one had to be about the theatre of 'Don Juan Tenorio' that is going to be representated in the Juanelo Turriano and in the third one we had to put a face on a fruit.

GIMP started in 1995, in the Berkeley´s University; there was a semestral work. All the program was invented and built in the computing club of studients of the University. The creators were Spencer Kimball and Peter Mattis and was created for Linux, but nowadays, GIMP is develops by one crew of volunteers people.
The famous pet of the program is Wilber, who is like his creators said, a GIMP.

QR Codes

A QR code is a set of black small squares placed on a big white square, in different ways, with three bigger squares at corners avoove and on the left. They are like an evolution of bar codes, but anybody can scan them with an smartphone and the appropiate application. They read information which can be a link to a webpage, a small text, an image...

This codes came from the car brand Denso Wave, from Toyota. They used them to mark their differents pieces to storage them (1994).

Their capacity is varialble because there are differents types of QR codes. But the normal capacity is 2953 MByte or 7089 numeric characters as maximum.

NETWORKS

Hello followers of the blog, I know that this post comes late but I hope you enjoy it.

    1.- What is it?
It´s a set of devices conncted between them through wires, via wireless or mixed; some parts trough wires, some parts via wireless. You can use it to share data, services, information...
It has different characteristics. For example, it's Peer to Peer (P2P) administrated if it's used betwen equal level users, or Client-Server administrated if someone controls the network and says who can see or use each shared datum or resource.

     2.- Topologies
The topologies depend on the form you connect the computers to a wired net.
              - Bus topology.                                                     -Star topology.
     Topología de bus

                  -Ring topology.                                                -Tree topology.

              -Mesh topology.

3.- Sizes of networks according to their area
          - PAN: Personal Area Network, like the network in a house
          - LAN: Local Area Network, like netkorks in business and buildings
          - MAN: Metropolitan Area Network, like a network in a country or region
          - WAN: Wide Area Network, like Internet, the biggest network

     4.- IP (Internet Protocol) adresses
They are numerical adresses that comunicate computers through the Internet.
They are formed by four numbers separeted by dots, which go from 0 to 255.
-If they are represented by decimal numbers, they have three digits.
-If they are represented by binarial numbers, they have eight digits.
There are three classes of IP adresses: A, B, C.
             - A class: they go from 1.0.0.0 to 126.0.0.0; they can have 126 networks and 16777214 devices.
             - B class: they go from 128.0.0.0 to 191.0.0.0; they can have 16384 networks and 65534 devices.
             - C class: they go from 192.0.0.0 to 223.255.255.0; they can have 2097152 networks and 254 devices.

     5.- MAC adress
It is a code which goes in a network card different in each computer, which the fabricant sets. They send information through a network cable: twisted pair cable or optical fiber cable.

     6.- Information controlers
-Hub: connects different devices and sends information from one port to the others.
-Switch: filtrates data and administrates conections.
-Router: routs and sends information between networks.

Now I have understood better networks and I hope so you do.
